The Energy Information System provides a notification history for business
customers signed up for our Interruptible Electric rate.
What is the Interruptible Electric rate?
Businesses can save money with this rate by identifying blocks of electric
load (at least 200 kW of combined electric load) that can be interrupted
within 1 hour of being notified. These businesses receive a discounted
demand rate for their interruptible load through a 5-year contract with
WPS.
Applications for the Interruptible Electric rate need to be submitted by May 15
if a business wished to qualify for this rate on January 1 of the following
year.
