Energy service for commercial new construction or upgrades

Applications and requirements for installing electric and/or natural gas at commercial, agricultural, multifamily buildings or subdivisions.

Use the applications below to apply for new service or upgrades:

Commercial or industrial installation steps

  1. Submit completed service application at least one week prior to excavation.
  2. Submit completed electric and/or natural gas load data forms with application.

  3. Submit civil engineering plan or preliminary land division.
  4. Plan time for permits, easements and inspections.
  5. Prepare building site.
  6. Notify us when requirements are met, so we can schedule service installation.

Clear communication about service installation helps complete work more quickly and efficiently. Overlooked details may increase costs and lengthen construction times. All service installation charges over $20 must be paid in advance of installation. If you have questions, contact your WPS representative or call 800-242-9772.

Civil engineering plans

Email civil engineering plans in one of these formats: .dwg, .dgn or .dxf
In addition, include same file in .pdf.

If you do not have an engineering plan, submit your preliminary land division.

Changes: Communicate to us promptly any changes in plans made during a project. Changes may result in delays in scheduled construction and/or additional costs.
